Mercedes Martinez Returns To NXT, Takes Out Io Shirai

Tonight’s NXT saw Io Shirai attempt to come down to the ring and confront who she thought was Toni Storm. However, in a shocking turn of events, Mercedes Martinez made her way down to the ring and delivered a brutal assault to Shirai, making a huge statement in the process.
Things started with Toni Storm appearing backstage at NXT, saying that she wanted the NXT Women’s Championship for herself. Shirai then made her way down to the ring in an attempt to confront Storm. However, she was shocked to find Martinez come down to the ring instead, and was promptly assaulted by Martinez, who delivered a brutal beating to the hands of the champion in her return to the ring.
