Bullet Bob Armstrong, Hall Of Fame wrestler and patriarch of the Armstrong wrestling family, has passed away at age 80.

Armstrong’s son, ‘Road Dogg’ Brian James, posted the unfortunate news on Twitter Thursday evening:

It is with a very heavy heart we announce the passing of our Father and @WWE Hall of Famer “Bullet” Bob Armstrong. Information regarding funeral arrangements will come at a later date.

‘Bullet Bob’ was born Joseph Melton James on October 3, 1939. His professional wrestling career spanned five decades and was elected into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2011. All four of his sons, Joseph (Scott Armstrong), Robert (Brad Armstrong), Steve and Brian also became wrestlers themselves.

Our condolences go out to the James family at this time.
