NJPW Star Out Of Action With Colonic Diverticulitis, To Miss Upcoming Show

New Japan Pro-Wrestling NJPW President Harold Meij

Tiger Mask will remain out of action for the time being, which means that he won’t be working upcoming NJPW events.

In a statement issued by the promotion, Tiger Mask will be out due to colonic diverticulitis.

“Tiger Mask will be absent from forthcoming New Japan Pro-Wrestling events as he recovers from colonic diverticulitis. We apologise to all fans who are looking forward to seeing Tiger Mask perform, and wish him well in his recovery.”

NJPW is returning next Monday with the Together Project Special event. The card for the event won’t be announced until the show starts.

The promotion hasn’t held any shows since the coronavirus pandemic started in March. They had to cancel over 50 shows as a result.

The New Japan Cup will then begin on June 16 and end on July 11 before holding Dominion on July 12.
