The Undertaker sets the record straight — he’s NOT afraid of cucumbers!
The Undertaker was a recent guest on the Barstool Sports Pardon My Take podcast. During the conversation, the longstanding rumor of his fear of cucumbers was brought up and the WWE legend said he wanted to finally clear the air.
“OK, let’s get this straight. Now, we’ve had a good conversation,” Undertaker said. “I’m not scared of cucumbers. I just don’t like cucumbers, OK?”
Co-host Big Cat said it was funny that one of wrestling’s biggest badasses of all-time would squeal like a little kid if there’s a cucumber in the room, but Taker broke it down even more and had some fun with the exchange.
“I’ll probably leave the room but I’m not gonna run. If they’re whole, that’s one thing. If they’re cut up, now that just—whoa.”
Big Cat joked that “Cucumber Man” is really how Taker should have lost at WrestleMania and The Phenom agreed, saying people “would have bought that a lot more if I had slipped on a cucumber.” He continued to have fun with the gag, saying “the hair on my neck is standing up! Change the question!”
Another hot topic of conversation was when Undertaker was asked about another long-standing rumor about Vince McMahon hating people that sneeze in front of him. According to lore, Vince hates sneezing because it’s something you can’t control and shows weakness. Taker says he doesn’t think he’s ever done that but might get away with it more than someone else might.
“Have I ever sneezed in front of Vince? I think I leave the room. I get away with a lot more than other people probably do.”
