Cody Rhodes Defeats Shawn Spears To Advance In TNT Championship Tournament

Cody Rhodes is the first wrestler to advance in All Elite Wrestling’s TNT Championship tournament.

In a rematch from last year, Rhodes took on Shawn Spears in the quarterfinals. The two had bad blood stemming from Spears hitting Rhodes with a chair. The bad blood hadn’t died down and the two former friends didn’t hold back in the ring. In the end, Rhodes was simply too much for Spears and pinned him with a figure four.

He’ll face off against the winner of Sammy Guevara vs. Darby Allin in the semi-finals. The other side of the bracket features Kip Sabian vs. Dustin Rhodes and Lance Archer vs. Colt Cabana.
