Wrestlemania 41 will go on without Kevin Owens, a fact that caused shockwaves amongst many WWE SmackDown fans despite its anticipation.
During one of the recent episodes of the podcast, “My Mom’s Basement”, Owens expressed his disappointment that news of his injury had surfaced a day before it was revealed on SmackDown. He stated,
“What frustrated me was waking up to find out my injury had already been leaked by someone from the office who shouldn’t have had this sensitive information.”
Owens feared that his condition’s details would be exposed to the public after revealing his injury to WWE. Further commenting,
“I cautioned people about the likely leakage. They reassured me everything was under control.”“
Owens fingered an office staff “with access to information they shouldn’t have” in a department of WWE as the likely culprit for the leak about his injury.
Alongside this physical setback, Owens felt his privacy was compromised, saying that “The opportunity to reveal the news myself was snatched from me as everyone already knew.”
