Orange Cassidy, a wrestling name that resonates with wrestling fans, has had opportunities to work with a number of legendary figures in AEW. Expressing gratitude for the wealth of knowledge and support these legends provide, Cassidy elaborated on some of his experiences during a recent episode of “The Line Change” podcast.
During the podcast discussion, Cassidy shared his experiences of working alongside some well-known names in the wrestling universe such as Jerry Lynn and Sting, whilst being part of AEW.
Speaking on his collaboration with Jerry Lynn, Cassidy said, “Being part of the starting battles that ECW used to host was always thrilling for me. Jerry Lynn and Rob Van Dam had these incredible matches that, I believe, set the blueprint for today’s professional wrestling. Now Jerry, in his role as a coach at AEW, offers guidance to many of us. It’s surreal to think how I used to watch this man wrestle growing up, and now he’s the one guiding me on when to perfectly time my signature hands-in-pockets move.”
Addressing the support he receives from the more seasoned wrestlers, Cassidy commented, “My style is different and unique. It’s something new. While it’s true that some long-time professionals don’t necessarily like it, to receive positive feedback from esteemed veterans like Tully Blanchard and Sting reinforces my conviction that I’m on the right path.”
Sharing about his collaboration with Sting, Cassidy voiced, “Sting happens to be a wonderful individual. I believe Sting truly appreciated the importance of us supporting each other to enhance our own performances. His impact on AEW will be remembered for ages to come.”
