In an interview on “The Wrestling Classic” podcast before the ROH Final Battle 2024, Billie Starkz opened up about the deterioration of her association with Athena and her choice to walk away from the Minion In Training (M.I.T.) program.
Below are some key points from the podcast:
Regarding her decision to part ways with Athena, Starkz shared: “Athena has imparted a lot of knowledge. I stayed loyal to MIT, believing we were like a family, but I question it seeing how we treated each other. The difficulty I’ve experienced over the recent months is wearing on me. With Lexy [Nair] not around to assist, the upcoming Final Battle will be pivotal.”
Addressing what sparked the disintegration of the relationship, she said: “There were successive weeks when I bore the brunt of it all, especially during the fatal four-way match while competing for the [Wrestle] Dynasty. It dawned on me that my position on the roster wasn’t where I aspired to be. My vision now is to be at the forefront.”
