WWE’s recent revival of the Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXVII, which aired on December 14, was deemed less than thrilling, according to wrestling presenter and AAA booker Konnan. On his popular “Keepin’ It 100” podcast, Konnan voiced criticisms about the event, claiming it lacked the irresistible draw to viewership that it typically commands.
Konnan voiced his disappointment, stating, “I was underwhelmed. They didn’t put together any promotional segments, no unexpected appearances, nothing that would hook in a viewer, especially one tuning in after a long absence, or leave them wanting more from ‘Raw.’ Perhaps they’re withholding all the major attractions for Netflix, but I was deeply unsatisfied.”
The highlight of Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXVII was a major face-off: Cody Rhodes defending the Undisputed WWE Title against Kevin Owens. Despite this, it doesn’t appear to have lived up to expectations if Konnan’s viewpoint is anything to go by.
