Mariah May has expressed gratitude for the flexibility her position in AEW offers, which includes potential opportunities to appear for other wrestling companies, like her former promotion, STARDOM.
In her recent guesting on the Niko Exxtra podcast, the reigning AEW Women’s World Champion shared her experiences both in STARDOM and AEW, and the latter’s potential collaborations with other wrestling platforms.
May shared with enthusiasm, “We collaborate with a multitude of different companies, and STARDOM is dear to my heart, it was my home for a year. Whenever any of those girls come over, it’s always a thrill to wrestle with them again. I think that’s the beauty of Tony Khan and AEW, they allow these sorts of cross-overs, ultimately leading to a win for everyone.”
She further illustrated, “Think about my experiences with Mina [Shirakawa] and Toni [Storm]. Our tandem just spontaneously happened after I tagged with Mina at the STARDOM show. This eventually led to matches at the Forbidden Door, which people seemed to love. It boosted the women’s division. Then Mina came back for more, resulting in another storyline. I believe there’s still more to these stories. That’s why AEW stands out and why I love working here – anything is possible, and that’s thrilling.”
