In September 2023, Nic Nemeth bid adieu to WWE. Recently, he took a moment to look back on his departure from the renowned wrestling company.
In a recent conversation with “Daily Star,” Nemeth shared his experience of how he asked for his release. He applauded how supportive WWE was, even allowing him to terminate his contract prematurely.
During the conversation, Nemeth articulated, “WWE was so great. I still had a year and a half left on my contract, and I said, ‘Please.’ I conveyed to them, ‘I’m not contributing anything significant here. I’m merely participating in short five-minute matches.’ I expressed, ‘I’m unsure for how many more years I can convincingly be a world champion for any another company. It could be five, or even two or ten, I am honestly uncertain. However, remaining here, earning a paycheck for just five minutes of work per week doesn’t benefit WWE, and it certainly isn’t benefiting me’.”
Continuing his revelations, the TNA World Champion added, “Fortunately, they granted me the opportunity to leave as I still had some remaining time on my contract. Breaking out of that cycle was truly a breath of relief’.”
