The Holiday Bash-themed episode of AEW Dynamite this week saw a rise in its viewership and 18-49 rating as compared to the previous week.
Tallying at 625,000 viewers, AEW Dynamite achieved a 0.19 rating, which equates to 252,000 viewers in the 18-49 demographic. The broadcast also scored a 0.13 rating in the 18-34 demographic.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the show made it to the 6th spot on the cable for the day and came in at third in the first hour and second in the second hour, during its time slot.
AEW Dynamite was outranked by an ESPN college football game and Jesse Watters on Fox News in the first hour, securing 1,221,000 and 3,394,000 views respectively. The second hour witness AEW Dynamite trailing behind another college football game with 1,480,000 viewers. The commendable season finale of Survivor on CBS was the most-watched show of the night with a viewership of 5,632,000.
Despite a year-on-year drop of 20.1% in viewership, AEW Dynamite’s viewership saw a weekly increase of 5.2%, along with an 8.6% rise in the 18-49 demographic and a whopping 28.6% climb in the 18-34 demographic.
Viewership among men aged 18-34 was up by 30.2%, while female viewership in the same age bracket showed a 25.9% increase. Among men aged 35-49, viewership dropped by 3.5%, whereas women in the same demographic showed a 29.8% increase. Men accounted for 66.3% of viewers in the 18-49 demographic.
The detailed quarter-hour breakdown revealed average viewership numbers fluctuating between 519,000 – 737,000 while viewers in the 18-49 range shifted between 216,000 – 278,000.
