Vince Russo, a well-known figure in the wrestling world, has expressed his belief that AEW wrestler Darby Allin needs to cut back on his hazardous stunts, as he will not be able to progress in his career if his life is cut short due to his daredevil antics.
Whether in the wrestling ring or in his private life, the risk-taking nature of Darby Allin has led to the young athlete sustaining numerous injuries that have forced him to take a break from wrestling multiple times.
In an episode of “The Wrestling Outlaws” podcast, Russo voiced his worries about the former AWF TNT Champion’s safety. He remarked,
“With Darby Allin, I’ve been consistent in my viewpoint. The guy leaps off bridges, gets struck by vehicles and crashes on glass tables. Until what point? Do you just wait until your risky behaviour leads to your demise, Darby? Once you’re gone, there’s no dialing it back. It’s already too late, bro.”
Allin’s upcoming daring feat is climbing Mount Everest. Previously, a foot injury forced him to postpone this birth planned climb for this year.
Earlier in the month, Darby Allin revealed that Sting, a fellow wrestler, tried to dissuade him from making the climb. Regardless, Allin plans to kick off his ascent in April of this year.
According to the records maintained in Himalayan databases, more than 320 climbers have tragically lost their lives while attempting to ascend the mountain since 1922. The bodies are often left on the mountain due to the high risk involved in retrieval operations, serving as a sombre reminder of the perilous beauty of nature.
