In a recent episode of “The Sports Media Podcast,” Chris Legentil, WWE EVP, shared his thoughts on the future of WWE RAW, its transition to Netflix, and the company’s ambitions for 2025.
The following are key points from Legentil’s podcast discussion:
Discussing the relocation of WWE RAW to Netflix, he stated: “We couldn’t be more thrilled. What’s perhaps not talked about enough is how not only is Monday Night Raw moving to Netflix in the United States, but all WWE content will be available on Netflix outside the U.S. This includes Raw, NXT, SmackDown, and Premium Live Events. We see this as pivotal for our business.”
Referring to the potential developments associated with the shift to Netflix, he expressed: “This year alone, we hosted half of our Premium Live Events outside of the U.S. We anticipate more of such global events in our collaboration with Netflix, as we’ll be joining forces with them to choose venues worldwide to grow our audiences and potentially increase their subscribers.”
Finally, looking towards the future in 2025, he shared this sentiment: “We’re going to nail this Netflix transition. Working in alliance with their team, who has been outstanding. They’re thrilled about this product, and we share the same enthusiasm for this collaboration. We believe, collectively, we’re going to able to deliver for both Netflix subscribers and WWE fans.”
