We are proud to announce a thrilling face off for the MLW World Middleweight Championship: Místico will battle against the fierce Bárbaro Cavernario in a 2-out-of-3 falls match, a deeply respected tradition in lucha libre.

This fantastic match featuring some of CMLL’s most esteemed stars will be exclusively filmed for beIN SPORTS, airing at a future date.

Tensions have been rising ever since the shocking aftermath of Lucha Apocalypto in Chicago, a triple threat match where Místico successfully defended his championship. Amid the crowd’s celebration of their hero’s victorious match, Bárbaro Cavernario launched a surprise attack against the luchador, unmasking him and demanding a title shot completely disregarding Mistico’s legacy.

Notorious for his unpredictability and intense methods, Cavernario is keen to rip the title from Místico through any means necessary.

At the Slaughterhouse event, Cavernario called out the champion yet again, challenging and taunting Místico with his blatant disregard. Rising above the turmoil, Místico agreed to accept the challenge, consented to battle Cavernario in a 2-out-of-3 falls match for the coveted MLW World Middleweight Championship.

Upon winning the title last February, Místico has exemplified success, triumphing over some of the best athletes globally in spectacular championship matches held at the CMLL Arena Mexico. As a lucha icon, Mistico will enter this match with the honor and energy of his long and successful career at stake.

On the other hand, this fight is a golden opportunity for Cavernario to reach the pinnacle of success and solidify his name among the all-time greats by vanquishing one of the most recognized and adored luchadores.

The 2-out-of-3 falls match, a significant highlight in the lucha libre tradition, will push both competitors’ endurance, skill, and determination to new heights as they compete for the belt.

Will Místico maintain his legendary reign or will Bárbaro Cavernario’s relentless attack bring an end to the champion’s reign in a match for the history books?
