Former WWE champion and Hall of Famer Booker T has voiced his opinion that Tessa Blanchard merits another chance in a prominent wrestling franchise, reflecting on her recent re-entry into TNA Wrestling.
Blanchard recently featured in the TNA Final Resolution pay-per-view event, marking her first appearance in a TNA show after a hiatus that began in 2020, in which she notably targeted Jordynne Grace for an attack.
On a newer episode of his podcast, “Hall of Fame”, Booker T weighed in on the attempts by some to blacklist Blanchard. He voiced his stance saying, “People still wanting to try to cancel her. Man, y’all get off of it. The thing is, if something was said, if an apology was made and fences were mended, we should be able to move on.”
The controversy around Blanchard gathered momentum in 2020 when she was alleged to have bullied and racially insulted fellow wrestler La Rosa Negra, charges that Blanchard, once a World Champion, rebuffed. In April 2023, however, a shared photo of Blanchard and La Rosa Negra indicated that they had successfully resolved their past disagreements.
During the podcast, Booker T also reflected on Blanchard’s controversial Impact World Championship win in 2020, deeming it a strategic blunder by the company. He elaborated, saying, “This business is to be embellished, but there are lines that we don’t cross because those lines, sometimes we can’t cross back over. That’s the way I see it.”
