The self-claimed ‘authentic’ WWE Champion, Kevin Owens, revealed his thrill at being involved in WWE’s forthcoming holiday tour that is set to commence in the following week.
This tour is set to roll out officially with WWE’s yearly celebration on December 26th at the Madison Square Garden, and it would come to a close in Detroit, Michigan on December 30.
Owens, via his Twitter account, announced his participation, denoting his initial tour post his acclaimed victory of the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
An excerpt from his tweet read, “Now that I have your attention, I have wonderful news! I am delighted to officially declare that I’ll be competing in my premier matches as your new, authentic WWE Champion on this year’s Holiday loop…”
Unfortunately, Owens could not displace Cody Rhodes during Saturday Night’s Main Event but retaliated by attacking Rhodes post-show with a package piledriver. The Canadian fighter obtained the Winged Eagle Championship, which Rhodes garnered for his show, after a conflict with Triple H.
In a move to enhance the drama, WWE issued a fabricated injury report for Rhodes and emphasized the severity of the assault by excluding Cody from the Netflix launch event scheduled this week.
