WWE’s Hall of Fame member, The Undertaker, has expressed his satisfaction with how wrestling has evolved from its wild and unregulated past, despite his previous remarks suggesting otherwise.

The Undertaker found himself in hot water in 2022 when he critiqued modern-day wrestlers as being “somewhat soft,” drawing a comparison with players from earlier eras. The Phenom, at the time, expressed disappointment that today’s wrestlers preferred video games over carrying weapons like knives and guns in their luggage.

During a recent episode of his podcast, “Six Feet Under,” however, The Undertaker shifted his tone. He expressed contentment with the transformation of wrestling over the years, contradicting his previous opinions. He vocalized,

“I’m telling you, man. It was just a whole different ballgame back then. Dude, it was the wild, wild west. And I’m glad, I am so happy that the business has evolved to where it is now, so guys don’t have to worry about that.”

“However, the funny part is, you just couldn’t mess with people. Sure, there were fights, but that’s it.”

In 2020, The Undertaker stepped into the wrestling ring for the last time and got an emotional ‘Final Farewell’ during the Survivor Series pay-per-view event of the same year. The celebrated wrestling icon also made an appearance at WrestleMania 40 earlier this year and is set to feature in A&E’s new show, WWE LFG: Legends & Future Greats.
