In a recent episode of his “Off The Top” podcast, Rikishi expressed his views on Paul Heyman’s renewed presence on WWE television, underlining that he was seen in Solo Sikoa’s colors despite his affiliation with Roman Reigns.
He also disclosed his thoughts on CM Punk’s liaison with The OG Bloodline.
The highlights of the podcast are as follows:
Speaking about CM Punk’s association with The OG Bloodline, Rikishi expressed surprise, “Honestly, CM Punk? I didn’t expect that at all. Considering Paul’s absence and Roman attempting to contact him unsuccessfully, I would have assumed it to be someone like Brock Lesnar. Just saying. CM Punk undoubtedly contributes significantly to the company in terms of pulling in crowds to the arenas and other events. However, I always perceived CM Punk as a solitary figure. As a promoter, I would prefer to deploy my best forces to ensure the commercial success of the event. Could you imagine where Paul would appear if, for example, Brock Lesnar enters? This collaboration with CM Punk really took me by surprise.”
“Predicting events now is difficult, especially after Roman received a blow from Sami, I believe something significant may emerge from there. But now, we have CM Punk entering the scenario, who is unquestionably a bigger name than Sami. Sami is a competent performer; I’m not disparaging him. When it comes to headlining a show, CM Punk could potentially lock horns against Roman. Or perhaps, CM Punk is contemplating forming his own group.”
Regarding Paul Heyman donning Solo Sikoa’s colors upon his return, Rikishi said, “Colors are just colors, isn’t it? The Bloodline is synonymous with red and black, regardless of whether they don a suit or similar attire. I don’t foresee anything substantial occuring between Paul E and Solo. Paul E is aware of his place and is ever loyal to Roman Reigns. It could be a harmless wardrobe mixup on Paul E’s part. He wouldn’t really desire to mimic Solo’s appearance. So, it may have been direct result of an innocent wardrobe malfunction rather than anything intentional.”
