Michin Says She Won’t “Fumble” Women’s U.S. Title Opportunity After First-Round Win

In this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Michin secured victory in her first-round match of the Women’s U.S. Title Tournament, ensuring she won’t miss out on her chance.

In the thrilling showdown, Michin managed to triumph over Piper Niven and Lash Legend from NXT, who stepped in as a replacement for Jade Cargill, who is possibly injured, in the competition.

Michin, in a conversation featured on a WWE “Digital Exclusive”, discussed her ambition to make history as the inaugural Women’s U.S. Champion. She declared,

“I let my opportunity to become the first Women’s NXT North American Champion slip through my fingers. I will not make that mistake with the Women’s US Championship. This is more than a desire, it’s a necessity. I am committed to being the first.”

Previously, Michin attempted to acquire the title of the first NXT Women’s North American Champion at the NXT Battleground in June but did not succeed.

In her journey to the championship, Michin will now progress to the subsequent round where she will compete against either Elektra Lopez, Tiffany Stratton, or Naomi. These three dynamic competitors are set to battle it out next week.

The new Women’s U.S. Champion will be named at the Saturday Night’s Main Event, along with the announcement of a Women’s Intercontinental Title.
