Pro wrestling legend, Diamond Dallas Page, made an appearance on the popular “Busted Open Radio” podcast recently. He opened up about his experiences and shared stories from the past, including one notable incident where he assisted AJ Styles in dealing with his challenging back problems at the time of his WWE induction in 2016.
Check out some key takeaways from Dallas Page’s podcast session below:
On the occasion when Chris Jericho reached out for HELPING Styles: “AJ was going through a tough phase with his severe back issues. Chris Jericho contacted me, informing me about AJ’s situation, that his back was immensely troubling him. I immediately called AJ and since he was living close by, I invited him to the [DDP Yoga] Performance Center. Thankfully, he heeded my advice and took up the yoga sessions seriously.”
On the whole experience of helping Styles in recovery: “To ensure his comfort, I arranged for a room with a breathtaking beach view for him and his wife. On mentioning his concern about his children, I extended an invitation to his entire family. I also made clear that his visit didn’t necessarily have to be about the therapy all the time, instead he could spend some quality time enjoying the seaside with his family.”
Mark Henry expressed his belief that Lexis King has all it takes to make it big in NXT.
In a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Henry conveyed his hopes of seeing King emerge victorious in the men’s Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline. King hasn’t yet secured his place in the match but will be participating in the Last Chance Qualifier in the next week’s WWE SmackDown episode.
Here are some notable quotes from Mark Henry on the podcast:
On his opinion about King: “I really admire the enthusiasm Lexis King brings to table. He possesses an appealing aura that makes you anticipate his defeat, and you discern the manipulations, he gets it. The only thing he needs to work on, according to me, is making people believe in his abilities.”
On the women’s Iron Survivor Challenge: “The strong foundation laid for the women at NXT is truly commendable. I am sure Shawn Michaels and Triple H must be feeling extremely proud.”
