WWE faces a potentially difficult decision concerning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships due to Jade Cargill’s unexpected injury.
In the most recent episode of WWE SmackDown, Cargill was discovered assaulted in the car park. This event led to Bianca Belair discontinuing her match to inspect Cargill’s condition.
Studies suggest that Cargill finds herself in a legitimate injury predicament, requiring a healing period of three months or longer, although the specifics remain elusive.
In a recent Q&A session of Wrestle Votes Backstage Pass, it circulated backstage that the probable decision involves Belair and Cargill being stripped of their championship titles.
This situation is not an unprecedented one; in 2023, the championship crown was relinquished by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez due to Liv’s injury. The same year also witnessed Sonya Deville succumbing to injury, but her partner, Chelsea Green was allowed to retain the titles alongside new partner Piper Niven.
These incidents, coupled with Sasha Banks and Naomi vacating their roles as champions have instigated theories among fans regarding a ‘curse’ on the championship titles, which were established in 2019.
Belair and Cargill, currently undergoing their second tenure as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, attained the titles from the Unholy Union at Bash In Berlin.
