The coveted Undisputed WWE Universal Championship held by Cody Rhodes is going to be contested by Kevin Owens in the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event. This match-up has been officially announced.
WWE made the announcement of this high-stakes title match on their official Twitter account. The match is set for December 14, and interestingly, it will be the inaugural Saturday Night’s Main Event since its 2008 edition.

The competition is a rehash of the WWE Bash In Berlin, where Rhodes successfully protected his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on foreign soil, in the German capital.
There’s been a heated rivalry between Owens and Rhodes that escalated post WWE Bad Blood 2024, with Owens showcasing his aggression towards Rhodes. Owens alleged that Rhodes deceived him by forming an alliance with Roman Reigns to combat The Bloodline.
