Professional wrestling superstar Bryan Danielson, also known by his ring-name Daniel Bryan while in WWE, has recently spoken out about the challenges he faced during his forced time away from the wrestling ring. The former World Champion’s career was abruptly put on hold, denying him two years of action within the ring.

Danielson’s wrestling career had to be put on hold due to recurring neck injuries which led to the end of two of his championship reigns. Danielson publicly addressed his retirement and the emotional toll it took on him during an episode of the “Nikki And Brie Show” podcast.

In the podcast, Danielson expressed his bitter feelings about his forced retirement, saying, “I didn’t want to retire, but they wouldn’t let me wrestle again. What I found is people are sad for a bit. Then, everybody just moves on, and it doesn’t matter. The hardest part for it is probably for the person who does it.”

Against all odds, Danielson made a staggering return to the WWE realm at WrestleMania 34 in 2018. He continued to perform in WWE until he finally stepped away from the promotion in April 2021.

Presently, the ex-WWE superstar is taking a break from wrestling after his recent defeat to Jon Moxley at WrestleDream. It is rumored that he will be undergoing neck surgery sometime this year.

In the midst of these developments, a video titled “Daniel Bryan bids farewell to the WWE Universe: Raw, February 8, 2016” has been circulating amongst fans, showcasing the touching moments when Danielson addressed his WWE fans for the last time.
