Key WWE performer, Jade Cargill, will be offstage for several months due to injury. This development is occurring just as WWE is preparing for the anticipated Survivor Series on Saturday, and gearing up to inaugurate the first WWE Women’s US Champion at the Saturday Night’s Main Event, both of which will feel the impact of Cargill’s absence.
Originally, Cargill was scheduled to participate in the Women’s WarGames match, in addition to the tournament. In a riveting scene last Friday on SmackDown, WWE crafted a scenario where Cargill was discovered unconscious on a car, without revealing who her attacker was – a suspenseful storyline that is yet to be unravelled.
Widely-respected wrestling journalist, Dave Meltzer, has reported that Cargill’s sudden exit from recent plots is to cover up a genuine injury. Although, the precise nature of her injury has not been disclosed yet. What is unanimous, however, is that Cargill will be out of action for a minimum of three months, potentially even longer.
At this time, it is not clear how WWE plans to manage the Women’s Tag Team Titles currently belonging to Cargill and Bianca Belair.
