In the recent episode of the “ROAR Around the Ring” podcast, Anthony Bowens, a member of The Acclaimed, addressed questions about the speculated dissolution of the team. The Acclaimed, which is among the top contenders for the AEW World Tag Team titles tonight, will be battling against Kings of the Black Throne, the Outrunners and reigning champions Private Party.
In response to the rumors, Bowens stated, “What do you mean if something that could work? The Acclaimed are the best tag team, like I said, in the history of AEW. Max and I, we have a lot more stuff that we need to accomplish. I’m not particularly worried about anything that’s been happening. MVP can drop as many cards as he likes. Max is entitled to think about it, just like I’m entitled to think about it as well. So I am a lot more focused on making sure we get a W this Saturday at Full Gear, and I’m sure he is too.”
AEW star Ricky Starks took the audience by surprise with his unexpected appearance at ‘GCW Dream On’ event, held on a recent Saturday afternoon. The latest buzz reveals that Starks will be going toe to toe with Matt Cardona in the forthcoming ‘GCW Highest in the Room’ event. Scheduled for December 14, the event will take place at the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Los Angeles, CA.
Apart from the exciting announcements, ‘GCW Dream On’ event witnessed some other thrilling moments. Of these, the interruption of WWE Hall of Famers, Kurt Angle and Mick Foley by Blue Pain, known earlier as Blue Kane, got the crowd roaring. Blue Pain made an attempt to chokeslam Angle, but Foley was quick to retaliate with Mr. Socko. Subsequently, Angle managed to get the ankle lock on the Kane equivalent.
