AEW wrestling star, Peter Avalon, is unbothered by the fantasy elements integrated into professional wrestling, in spite of the potential criticisms coming from certain fans.
The subject of supernatural themes within the wrestling world tends to stir up discussions among fans, with opinions varying with regards to whether a theme or character crosses any line.
Appearing on the latest episode of the “Power and Glory” podcast, Avalon supported the more fanciful elements within professional wrestling. He asserted,
“Wrestling is fantasy in itself… I think it absolutely can, it’s just how you tell the story… I love it when it’s complete bulls**t, I love it, I loved Undertaker being magic, you know, I loved Kane being able to control Hellfire.”
When conversing about Bray Wyatt’s final tenure with the promotion, Avalon expressed his contentment with it being part of the show, even if every concept didn’t necessarily make the desired impact. He voiced,
“Not everything hit, I thought, as well as it should, but tons of stuff hit better than it might have, you know, it was incredible, an incredible fantasy.”
Today, elements of the supernatural carry on playing a role in wrestling, with groups like The Wyatt Sicks often incorporating eerie aspects within their segments.
