What Match Sells AEW Full Gear 2024 To You? | Question Of The Day

Welcome to yet another exciting eWrestlingNews Reader’s Query of the Day!

The much anticipated AEW Full Gear 2024 is happening tomorrow night. We’re sure to discuss and evaluate match predictions for tomorrow’s EWN QOTD. However, today, we will stay clear of the match outcomes and focus more on the promotional value of the event.

The question we’re asking you today is “What is your reason for watching (or not watching) AEW Full Gear?” Are there specific matches that have caught your attention? Or do you believe the entire card looks promising? It could also be because you’re a die-hard fan who was planning to watch it nevertheless. If you’re still not convinced about this event and feel unwilling to spend your money, we’d like to know those reasons too.

Don’t forget to share your response in the comment section below.

Here’s what I have to say…

Being a part of this industry, watching the event isn’t an option for me. That said, I’m really looking forward to a number of matches on the card. So, it’s not just about my professional obligations, but more about my personal interest as a fan.

Not every element on the card appeals to me though. The Big Boom segments seem preposterous and lack the charm, humor, or any sort of fascination for me. Mariah May’s celebration seems quite uneventful already. As for Mercedes Mone, I’m just not interested in her anymore, so her match against Kris Statlander doesn’t enthrall me.

However, the rest of the card does hold some excitement. The tag title match with The Acclaimed and Private Party particularly piques my interest. I’m eagerly awaiting Jon Moxley vs Orange Cassidy, which isn’t surprising, given it’s the main event.

Expecting Daniel Garcia to triumph over Jack Perry, and I like both of them, so I’m looking forward to watching them in action. Adam Page, Jay White, Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher, Ricochet and Konosuke Takeshita are all promising matches. The same goes for MJF vs Roderick Strong and Bobby Lashley against Swerve Strickland, which I’m particularly curious about.

This is indeed a solid lineup with a few minor loopholes. Nonetheless, I think it holds good potential for being an impressive 75% or more of a good show. However, I’m crossing my fingers Tony Khan won’t add extra matches into the Zero Hour like he usually does, as that tends to overwhelm the entire pace.
