Tony Khan exhibits a positive expectation that audiences will be provided more opportunities to witness Mina Shirakawa on AEW TV broadcasts in the future.
Tony Khan, president of AEW, expressed his admiration for Shirakawa during a media call held on Thursday. This event was designed to market the upcoming AEW Full Gear 2024 pay-per-view event. He stated,
“I am optimistic to keep Mina with us a lot. Mina Shirakawa fits in very well in AEW and she has been a great part of the show. We’d like to have her here as much as possible. Coming up after Full Gear, I’m hopeful that we’ll have Mina Shirakawa joining us more frequently. We’re exploring how that could work considering her schedule with AEW and STARDOM concurrently.”
He progressed, “Our relationship with STARDOM is excellent now and I’m thrilled to be collaborating with STARDOM, Mr. Okada, and the impressive Bushiroad executives. I consider Mina Shirakawa a significant star for STARDOM and now, for AEW as well – in America and globally. In my view, Mina Shirakawa contributes greatly to AEW and my wish is to have her stay with us indefinitely, more regularly and more frequently. With STARDOM’s approval and their kindness in allowing her schedule to be more open to us, I’m preparing to see Mina Shirakawa appear regularly on AEW in the future.”
Dustin Rhodes hope that Tony Khan, the president of AEW, would emulate the WWE ID concept and establish a development program in a similar fashion.
While speaking to WFAA 8, the man formerly known as Goldust, shared his thoughts regarding his Rhodes Wrestling Academy potentially being incorporated under such a program. His words were,
“I don’t think through WWE, because I’m here and I think that’s probably the reason they haven’t reached out, right. Because I’m contracted with All Elite Wrestling. It would be great if Tony Khan decided to implement a similar system involving our schools – I feel that could be quite exciting, especially for me, being one of the original members here.”
