Claims have been made that Donald Trump’s preparatory team was unaware of a lawsuit involving sexual abuse linked to Linda McMahon prior to her selection for his cabinet.
McMahon, who has no prior experience in education, was chosen for a role in the Department of Education during Trump’s tenure.
B.J. Bethel referenced an anonymous source, stating that Trump’s personnel were oblivious to McMahon’s association with the Ring Boy lawsuit.
“Sources within Trump’s election team insist that the forthcoming administration had no information about the ring boy lawsuit when Linda McMahon was chosen as DOE head. What they knew was that she had been estranged from Vince for a decade and a half, a fact commonly known within wrestling circles.
“This was not a widely known fact among national Republican circles or the Trump campaign. She was personally selected by Trump, bypassing the usual screening process.
“I questioned if this could potentially result in Linda McMahon’s nomination being rescinded. They couldn’t provide a definite answer. Several party members were taken aback by the scope of problems under her leadership. However, they noted Linda’s close relationship with Trump, suggesting it would ultimately be his call.”.“
The legal case suggests that minors were victims of sexual abuse by Mel Phillips in WWE and alleges that both Linda and Vince McMahon were cognizant of the ongoing abuse.
Both McMahons, the WWE, and its parent organization, TKO Group Holdings, are defendants in the lawsuit.
This scenario is the most recent sexual misconduct controversy associated with Trump, who is awaiting judgment following a conviction for sexual assault earlier this year.
Matt Gaetz, Trump’s choice for Attorney General, has been subject to allegations of sexual involvement with a minor. Several Republicans are attempting to prevent the investigation findings from being disclosed publicly. Gaetz has subsequently withdrawn from the nomination.
