During a recent guest appearance on Maven’s YouTube channel, ex-WWE Champion, Jinder Mahal (real name: Raj Dhesi), started a conversation about the Punjabi Prison Match.

Mahal explained that there were initial plans for him to go head-to-head with Roman Reigns in what would have been the fourth Punjabi Prison Match at the Money In The Bank 2018 event held in Chicago, IL. He elaborated,

“This was initially a bout engineered for The Great Khali, who in reality was a policeman in Punjab. This was the third instance of a Punjabi Prison. The first one was intended to be between Great Khali and Undertaker but The Great Khali couldn’t participate and Big Show acted as his replacement. The second time saw Dave Bautista square off against Great Khali. The third time involved me and Randy Orton. There was almost a fourth time and it would have pitted me against Roman Reigns, and would’ve taken place in Chicago.”

Reigns and Jinder Mahal consequently had a standard singles match at the 2018 event, a contest that triumphantly concluded in favor of The Big Dog.

During his spot on Z93…The Rock Station!, wrestling prodigy Bronson Reed confessed his dream for a spotlight moment at WrestleMania.

During the conversation, he explained, “I suppose my ultimate WrestleMania fantasy would be similar to Shawn Michaels’ childhood dream coming true when he attained the championship at WrestleMania. I vividly remember that moment from my own childhood, watching him embrace the title, overcome with emotion. It’s the dream of many, although I might add my own unique spin, perhaps a show of force and swing the title over my head.”
