Gable Steveson’s unfortunately unsuccessful journey in WWE came at a less than ideal period for both the sports entertainment company and himself, states the Olympic Gold medal winner and erstwhile WWE Superstar.
In 2021, Steveson became part of the WWE family mere weeks following his triumphant Olympic Gold win at the Summer Games held in Tokyo, marking WWE’s premiere NIL signing.
However, his WWE stint, which was rather disappointing and only saw him wrestle once on television, came to an abrupt end as he was let go earlier this year.
During a media meeting that took place recently, Steveson was quizzed about his WWE journey and what exactly led to its premature ending. He responded,
“My perception is that the time with WWE wasn’t quite right. I’m highly competitive, and they recognized that as well. It just wasn’t the appropriate time for it. However, if destiny permits, it could be an excellent opportunity to give it another try one day. There are no hard feelings, no animosity. I’d prefer to keep moving forward.”
Following his departure from WWE, Steveson briefly became part of the Buffalo Bills, but was later released. Recently, he has been seen practising with Jon Jones and expressed an interest in trying his luck in MMA.
