MVP, part of The Hurt Syndicate, has recently shared about their reunion in All Elite Wrestling on the show “AEW Close Up” with host Renee Paquette. He also delved into the origins of their friendship.
Take a look at key points from the conversation:
MVP sharing how their friendship began: “We had come together at the Staples Center with just a ball of tape and a trash can. As the new guy, I merely observed them bet on making the ball of tape in the trash. Bobby was hesitant to pay though. This moment remained in my memory as the first time we had shared a laugh. Bobby and I eventually began carpooling, helping us to get familiar with one another over time.”
Shelton Benjamin on their bond: “We’re more like brothers. This bond has lasted for nearly two decades…at one point, we were opponents. Our bond strengthened over the years, transitioning from friendship to a brotherhood.”
Jaida Parker spoke on WWE NXT ‘Die Woche,’ sharing her desire to face Beyley and opinions on being compared to Bianca Belair.
Key points from Jaida Parker’s interview:
On her dream opponent: “I’d definitely say Bayley. Bayley is undoubtedly one of the best. Regardless of what people say, to me, she’s on top. She made a significant impact on this women’s division and the company at large. I would love to face her to see what we can bring out in each other. I’m certain we can push each other to our limits.”
On comparisons to Bianca Belair: “That’s an honour. I would never take offense at that…you see potential in me that reflects what Bianca has achieved in ‘NXT’. I see these comparisons as blessings as her journey in ‘NXT’ brought her to the main roster. I’m excited at the thought of the impact I could make when they decide to promote me as well. If I manage to reach where she is, hopefully, we’ll cross paths one day.”
