On a recent episode of his podcast, “Grilling JR”, esteemed wrestling commentator Jim Ross delved into several topics including the potential of Powerhouse Hobbs, the future of AEW, and the escalating rivalry between Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher.

Discussing Powerhouse Hobbs, Ross stated, “Certainly, he is an exceptional talent. From the outset, I’ve advocated for Powerhouse Hobbs as he began to evolve. Undergoing recovery from an injury, he’s now in good health, looking splendidly fit, and as sturdy as a bull. It’s a pleasure seeing him back on the screens. This will not only augment television viewing but will also enhance Hobbs’ exposure. The focus should not be on victories or defeats but on the quality of their matches. I strongly believe that they should ‘maximize their TV minutes’.”
Ross went on to add, “Hobbs is indeed a star in the making and I’m eager to see what’s in store for him at the culmination of his journey, which remains years away considering his youth. I appreciate his work and think he can become much more relevant than he currently is in the larger scheme of things. The decision by Tony Khan to sign him was a wise one and Willie is working tirelessly on further refining his skills. As a wrestling aficionado, this aids him in his quest. I’m rooting for him as well, our roster houses a profusion of such promising young talents.”
Speaking on the feud between Kyle Fletcher and Will Ospreay, Ross added, “They’re fighting for what could be the future of AEW. They’ve both steered their way into this contention, which is commendable considering their youth. Particularly for Fletcher as he seems to have recently burst onto the scene. Ospreay is recognized internationally. They share a friendship and are set to give us an intense showdown. This contest is bound to be one of the most engaging matches of the evening… Their chemistry is palpable. This is why I believe their match will disarm many people. They’ve developed a keen sense of each other’s rhythms and playing styles. Without a shred of doubt, they will deliver a captivating performance.”
