During his recent guesting on the Barstool Rasslin’ podcast, Matt Riddle let out that the idea of using a scooter during his WWE stint wasn’t his, but he had the idea of using a dirt bike instead.
Riddle conveyed, “The scooter, it wasn’t my idea. I actually suggested a dirt bike. I had an idea of the dirt bike, and Vince [McMahon] was in complete control at that time, and he’s like, ‘A scooter.’ Then I go, ‘What about a skateboard?’ But everybody in AEW was doing skateboards. So I didn’t do that. […] But the kids loved the scooter, and the kids buy scooters, they buy merchandise. I think the scooter, I still go to shows, and they’re like, ‘Hey, can you…’, people pay me extra to ride the scooter. I’ll ride it, dude. It’s gonna make a kid out there happy. I’ll ride it.“
During his guest turn on the “That’s Wrestling” podcast, Low Ki reflected on his tenure in WWE when he played Kaval.
While reminiscing about his debut as a newbie during NXT’s ‘game show’ phase, Low Ki remarked, “Everything that I had to go through in that company, I had answers for to try to improve upon, and I was still being met with resistance. I was still being met with the carny nonsense from these office people,” he said. “Hell, I had one of the writers tell me, ‘With your qualifications, if this was any other job, you would have been brought in as a CEO, but for whatever reason, they bring you in as a rookie.’“
