According to Kurt Angle, his current physical state does not allow him to return to the ring.
The retired WrestleMania 35 wrestler recently addressed his health concerns during an interview with Sports Illustrated’s segment, “The Takedown”.
“Regretfully, my health does not permit me to return to wrestling. My body needs replacements, I’ve undergone five neck surgeries, and a back surgery last year. I am awaiting shoulder replacements. Wrestling is off the cards for me,” said Angle.
Despite his physical limitations, Angle is still involved in lighter forms of entertainment. “While I cannot wrestle, I do participate in certain activities. For instance, I am filming a commercial for CBS tomorrow regarding the Steelers versus Ravens game. I will be dressing up in a Steelers singlet, while TV host Kyle Brandt will be wearing a Ravens singlet. This is a pregame promotion for the sports event on Sunday. I’m quite excited about it,” Angle continued.
On a recent episode of WWE RAW, Damian Priest showcased a powerful promo on GUNTHER before their forthcoming match.
In a conversation on Peter Rosenberg’s “Cheap Heat” podcast, Priest shared his feelings about receiving accolades from Paul Heyman following the promo.
“It felt nice, I was comfortable and felt like things were under control. [Paul] Heyman approached me afterward and commented, ‘The line between your character and persona has disappeared. You’ve become that character now.’ These words really meant something. I was humbled by his appreciation,” shared Priest.
Priest further added, “Things felt effortless this time. I think I’ve finally learned to be myself.”
