Austin Theory On Working With Jelly Roll, Nic Nemeth Is High On Will Ospreay, MLW Note

Austin Theory appeared on a recent episode of the “Insight” podcast, where he discussed his collaboration with musical artist Jelly Roll during WWE SummerSlam 2024.

Read on to get the best moments from the podcast:

Speaking about his partnership with Jelly Roll, Theory said: “Everything Jelly did was absolutely fantastic. I gave him some advice before we went on – ‘Just take a moment to absorb everything around you.’ Even though he understood what I was saying, applying it in the right way was key. I told him not to rush, to take his time and feel the moment. The crowd is watching us and we have to be at our best. The second you lock eyes with me, we’re going to soar. I’ll carry us through, just hang on.”

When asked about recommending the chokeslam move to Triple H, he said: “I figured, since Jelly Roll is a superstar, both in terms of his music and as a person, he should do something significant. The idea of a chokeslam came up and I thought, ‘Yes, that’s the perfect move.’”

On a different note, during a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Nic Nemeth discussed wrestler Will Ospreay’s potential within the AEW World Title framework.

Here are some key points from the podcast:

Nemeth shared his perspective on Will Ospreay: “Ospreay has what it takes to be the face of a wrestling company and possibly take on the role of a world champion. I adore the fact that he doesn’t need to be, but can be. You can have other individuals striving for the title, thanks to the narratives where they were once friends. As soon as his music starts playing, the crowd goes wild.”

On how Ospreay excellently plays his role, Nemeth said: “He’s a true performer in every sense – in the ring, during interviews, backstage. He was born to do this. Whether he becomes champion in a month or five years, it won’t matter. No one will be able to take their eyes off his segments.”

In other news, Major League Wrestling has confirmed that Satoshi Kojima will put his MLW World Heavyweight Championship title on the line against Ultimo Guerrero. This match will be aired on beIN SPORTS TV during the MLW TV tapings segment at Eric Bischoff’s much-awaited MLW One-Shot event.

This event is set to take place on Thursday, December 5, at the Melrose Ballroom in New York City.
