In a recent conversation with D. Scott for JAMZ 96.3, professional wrestler Darby Allin of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) disclosed his thoughts on being prepared to be the franchise figure of AEW.
Find detailed points from the interview below:
About deserving to be the AEW’s face: “In my view, it’s high time I earned that spot. I regularly insist that the insane feats I pull off outside the ring aren’t mere antics. They contribute to my psychological fortitude. Surpassing such challenges. For instance, if I can withstand this shtick, then why can’t I front a firm? If I can handle Everest, why can’t I front a firm? It’s about mental toughness intensification.”
On his psychological strength: “I am convinced that jeopardizing your life on a routine basis grooms your mental toughness and I believe I’m ready to front AEW as its main man.”
Meanwhile, in another interview with Renee Paquette for “AEW Close-Up,” Shelton Benjamin conveyed his sentiment of not having been optimally utilized throughout his career and his current delight of being his authentic self in AEW. He commented,
“It’s quite clear for me that I’ve been subjugated…underutilized, absolutely. I have a tad bit of experience in the field so I’ve tried a few things. And I felt that I have got the chance here in AEW to demonstrate to fans who I am, what I am truly capable of, as opposed to what I was compelled to do for the people I was previously associated with. I am thrilled that I can genuinely express myself here in AEW.”
Currently, within AEW, Benjamin collaborates with MVP and Bobby Lashley as part of The Hurt Syndicate.
