Jon Moxley has been making bold moves and issuing audacious claims about All Elite Wrestling (AEW) since August. Asserting that AEW is no longer the same entity, Moxley, also known as the Death Rider, has enlisted the support of Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, and Marina Shafir to advance his takeover plans.

Moxley captured the AEW World Championship at AEW WrestleDream 2024 and managed to knock Bryan Danielson and Chuck Taylor out of his path in his ongoing battle against AEW.

Dustin Rhodes, while a guest on the “Sports Guys Talk Wrestling” podcast, shared his thoughts that AEW’s CEO, Tony Khan, may be unsettled by Moxley’s claims of ownership. Rhodes stated, “You have to have eyes in the back of your head at all times. Mox and his crew are a force to be reckoned with. They’re brawlers and it’s what they’ve been doing for years. Mox’s motives might be unclear, but AEW isn’t his territory. We are all part of it, and I’ve been here since the inception. Tony (Khan) is aware of his role and he understands that this is his enterprise. I suspect Tony might not be thrilled with Mox’s claims. You need to be constantly alert and prepared for the unexpected, as they can strike without warning, no matter the circumstances. Their strength lies in their numbers. And numbers can be overpowering.”

Rhodes, who currently holds the title of one-third of the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions along with The Von Erichs (Marshall Von Erich & Ross Von Erich) and is also a co-holder of the ROH Tag Team Champions with Sammy Guevara, is a seasoned player in the wrestling world.
