The next episode of WWE NXT is set to feature a few competitions with serious implications.
The details about who is participating in which competition hasn’t been fully disclosed just yet. Nevertheless, it is known that the fights to secure slots in the men’s and women’s Iron Survivor Challenge matches continue. Thus far, we have information that Eddy Thorpe, along with Zaria and Jaida Parker, will participate in some capacity.
Ashante “Thee” Adonis seems to be teaming up with Karmen Petrovic in a mixed tag team match against Dion Lennox and Brinley Reece. This development comes after several instances of playful banter between Petrovic and Adonis, despite their claims of nothing amorous happening between them. Lennox and Reece, however, decided to pair them up, instigating more chemistry between the two. It’s worth mentioning that this hasn’t been officially announced and perhaps Adonis and Petrovic might be pitted against another pair.
Lastly, the next contender for the NXT Championship will be decided in a match between Ridge Holland and Andre Chase. At first, Holland declined Chase’s request for a rematch. Trick Williams proposed a No.1 contender’s match with these two competitors, but Holland only accepted with the condition that if Chase loses, Chase University must disband. Essentially, this means that if Chase loses, his professional association with Duke Hudson, Thea Hail, and Riley Osborne, as well as the rest of Chase University’s staff and students, will come to an end.
This sets up the following lineup for next week’s episode of WWE NXT:
– Mixed Tag Team Match: Ashante “Thee” Adonis & Karmen Petrovic vs. Dion Lennox & Brinley Reece — Not officially confirmed yet
– Men’s and Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge Match qualifiers
– NXT Championship #1 Contender’s Match: Andre Chase vs. Ridge Holland — If Chase loses, Chase University must shut down
