Both GUNTHER and LA Knight have reason to be triumphant today, as they tick off 100 days in each of their respective championship reigns.
GUNTHER presently holds the WWE World Heavyweight Champion title, Knight, on the other hand, is the US Champion. The duo won their respective titles on the same day at WWE Summerslam 2024, dated August 3.
The championship title of GUNTHER has a short chronicle behind it and a significant landmark on the horizon. The ‘Ring General’, as he’s fondly called, is just a little over two weeks away from outlasting Damien Priest, thereby becoming the second-longest reigning World Heavyweight Champion. Seth Rollins still maintains the first place with a record reign of 316 days.
During GUNTHER’s tenure as the champion, he managed to successfully retain his title against wrestlers like Randy Orton and Sami Zayn. He’s next lined up to defend his title against Priest, the very same opponent from whom he claimed the title originally.
Meanwhile, Knight claimed his championship title by defeating Logan Paul. He has successfully defended his title against a list of wrestlers including Santos Escobar, Ludwig Kaiser, Andrade, and Carmelo Hayes among others. However, his next title defense challenger remains unknown as of now.
