After WWE NXT’s triumph over AEW Dynamite last Wednesday, Bubba Ray Dudley found inspiration in a phrase often used by AEW stalwart Chris Jericho.
The viewership battle last week ended up favoring WWE NXT, which accumulated 619,000 viewers compared to AEW Dynamite’s 523,000. This indicates a growth for NXT, while AEW Dynamite’s viewership unfortunately contracted compared to the previous week.
The highlight match from WWE NXT saw Bubba Ray Dudley joining forces with Trick Williams. They went head-to-head with Ridge Holland and Ethan Page, then later enjoyed a reunion with D-Von Dudley.
Bubba Ray socially took to Twitter to make a light-hearted comment. In the tweet, he humorously labeled himself, D-Von, and Trick as “demo gods,” a term popularized within the wrestling community by Chris Jericho.

The term “demo gods” was Jericho’s favorite phrase to celebrate Dynamite’s rating victories over WWE NXT, especially when their viewership exceeded the 1 million mark. In fact, the last seven-figure viewership episode of Dynamite was on March 23, 2022, which drew an audience of 1.046 million.
