Bryan Danielson’s decision to transition from his full-time wrestling career was a move that Adam Cole recognized, sharing his disappointment that the two never competed one-on-one in the ring.

On the “Stick to Wrestling” podcast, Cole revealed his aspiration that maybe in the future, the two wrestlers could face off against each other.

“If safety and legacy were to be prioritized, Bryan’s should be paramount. It’s great to see him in a position allowing rest and recuperation. Objectively, he’s among the best ever and, from my standpoint, I wish I had another opportunity to step into the ring with him. But who knows? The future is always full of surprises,” Cole expressed.

In a separate conversation with SVG, AEW’s Vice President of Global Production, Mike Mansury, announced that the enterprise intends to integrate a more “sports-style presentation” from next year.

Some takeaways from the interview are listed below:

On helping shape AEW’s future: “Our goal was to increase our intellectual property across all our operations. The aim is to push AEW closer to the forefront of innovation. The conundrum in our line of work is that it seamlessly blends sports and entertainment. Our challenge is to incorporate technology into what we do in a manner that sets us at the forefront and allows us to lead rather than follow trends.”

On impending transformations: “Starting from 2025, you will notice more emphasis on delivering sports-style entertainment during the live event, particularly when there isn’t in-ring activity or pre-recorded content being broadcasted. We aspire to find the perfect balance between the live event and TV broadcast, to heighten the experience of onsite audiences.”

Concluding the updates from AEW, private party member Isiah Kassidy showed gratitude to fans following their victory at the AEW World Tag Team Championships last week.

In his video blog, Kassidy proclaimed, “Our perseverance finally paid off. My gratitude goes out to everyone who has been there for us over the years. This journey to victory was five years in the making. Thank God we made it, we actually won the championships. The numerous setbacks we faced only make this title more valuable. The patience was truly worth it. These backstage interviews and promotions you see are actual expressions of our heartfelt feelings.”
