At the 2024 WWE Crown Jewel event, Bianca Belair triumphed despite a pre-match wardrobe hiccup. In Saudi Arabia’s most recent pay-per-view WWE contest, Belair and Jade Cargill managed to maintain the Women’s Tag Team Titles in an exciting four-way tag-team match.
Belair shared on Instagram about a color problem with her bodysuit for the event that necessitated last-minute modifications. She commented:
“I bought this bodysuit and started adding more gems, fabrics, and EST’s on it. I finished it and realized the fabric was BROWN; and Not BLACK. So it basically looked like my skin. So, with little time I panicked, flipped the fabric inside out, and spray-painted it black with fabric spray paint.”
“Not only did the paint change the color of the jewels to black, which I had to either replace individually or clean with alcohol, it also reduced the elasticity of the outfit. An hour before the match, as I was putting on my gear, the zipper broke and the crotch area tore open. Consequently, I had to stitch the crotch area myself while the seamstress tended to my zipper on my backup attire.”
Just before her match, Belair noticed some missed spots which needed rectifications. She remarked:
“Then I looked in the mirror and to my surprise, there were still spots of brown fabric. Thinking quickly, I took a black @Sharpie and some black hair tint spray and asked my teammate @jadecargill and my makeup artist @vc_makeupartist to touch it up… At the end of the day, everything worked out perfectly, we looked fantastic!!!! However, I felt like a rigid starfish and smelled like spray paint and Sharpie.”
When participating in contests in Saudi Arabia, WWE’s female Superstars wear full-body suits to respect cultural norms prevalent in the Middle Eastern nation.
