A new legal action has been instigated against both WWE and UFC, with the plaintiff asserting that Vince McMahon capitalized on his creative brainwaves after engaging in an informal conversation agreement with WWE.
In September, Leland Owens initiated legal proceedings claiming he had a spoken arrangement with WWE in Yakima Lower Valley, Washington. He alleges he shared innovative ideas for which he was never remunerated.
As reported by Pwinsider, Owens has now submitted an updated version of his initial lawsuit. The original versions were dismissed on the basis of lacking sufficient financial details. The revised iteration of the lawsuit was filed on November 4.
This updated legal action carries forward several accusations from the previous lawsuit. Notably, it mentions claims of inappropriate remarks made by Stephanie McMahon towards Owens’ daughter, allegedly leading to an offered hush payment by Daniel Bryan (cited as such in the lawsuit and not referred to as Bryan Danielson), alongside Mercedes Mone. Owens alleges that both parties were operating as representatives of WWE at the time.
In his entirely handwritten complaint lodged with the court, Owens maintains that he handed over inventive ideas to Vince McMahon and is seeking a significant damages sum of 0,000,000. The lawsuit was initially mailed on October 10 and registered by the court on November 4.
WWE has not provided any responses or comments regarding these accusations till now.
