In a recent episode of “The Wrestling Classic” podcast, WWE Superstar Damian Priest spoke about the potential of him and his Terror Twins team member, Rhea Ripley, contesting for the WWE Tag Team Championships.
Some noteworthy points from the podcast are as follows:
On the subject of Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley vying for the tag team titles, Priest commented: “If they give us the green light, it’s definitely a reality. If they agree to let Rhea to partner with me for the World Tag Team Titles, it’s a possibility that’s definitely on the cards. I can fully envision us defeating anyone. At present, there’s no one in WWE with whom I feel incapable of matching, and I’m confident Rhea feels the same. When we combine forces, we’re an unbeatable team, as proven when we squashed Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan like it was a piece of cake. If we challenge the Tag Team Champions, it won’t be a walk in the park, but we’ll emerge victorious. The power to make this decision rests with folk like [Adam Pearce] and the rest of the management at the company. We’re just the performers who outplay everyone in the matches assigned to us.”
Regarding how this potential move could revolutionize WWE, Priest stated: “No doubt, it would be a game-changer if we received permission to proceed. The prospect of Rhea and I clinching titles together is truly significant. We’ve conversed about it, and we felt that they should revive the Mixed Match Challenge and instate a title exclusively for us to claim, because there’s no one out there who can surpass us.”
