Previously, we shared the news about Vince McMahon’s intention to establish a novel entertainment business targeting the production and financing of television and film projects.
If successful, this venture will mark McMahon’s most significant step in the entertainment arena nearly a year after his WWE departure in January 2024.
The former authority figure Teddy Long, during a recent episode of “Wrestling Time Machine” podcast, warmly commended McMahon for his ambitious initiative. He expressed,
“First, congratulations to him. You know he is a man that I would just consider as a gangster. You know what I mean, you ain’t gonna stop him. And Vince has a lot to prove and he’s gonna let people know that. So I am kinda’ like Bill and you guys.”
McMahon’s new endeavor will witness him partnering with Brad Blum and Kristen Prouty, two former WWE executives who also exited WWE earlier this year.
However, the septuagenarian billionaire continues to face scrutiny. He is currently the focus of a Dept. of Justice inquiry regarding alleged ‘hush money’ payments made to several women maintaining silence over supposed affairs.
Additionally, McMahon, in collaboration with John Laurinaitis and former employer WWE, is implicated in a lawsuit lodged by Janel Grant. The suit alleges instances of sexual misconduct and trafficking during her tenure at WWE.
