On a recent episode of his Extreme Life podcast, Matt Hardy shared his thoughts on Chris Bey’s injury, subsequent surgery, and the current events at the post-TNA Bound For Glory TV tapings.

Here are some key points discussed during the podcast:

Discussing the unfortunate accident Chris Bey experienced during the TV tapings, Hardy said, “The injury was a regrettable incident that happened unexpectedly during a standard act. The entire event only served to highlight once more how dangerous pro wrestling can be. The match halted upon realizing his condition, and our prime focus was ensuring his wellbeing. He underwent emergency surgery, which seemed successful. He is now on his journey of recovery, which will, unfortunately, be lengthy.”

Hardy continued praising Chris Bey as a person, expressing his admiration for his positive outlook and urged everyone to keep Chris in their thoughts, “Chris is an inspiring individual, emanating positivity and kindness. His optimistic approach reminds me of myself. We all need to keep him in our prayers. Many have donated funds to help him with his living expenses while he recovers, and I must appreciate the wrestling community for their generosity. Yes, TNA has covered the expenses, but the extra help ensures he can focus on his recovery.”

Matt Hardy also shared his thoughts on TNA’s ambition of reaching larger platforms, “Although TNA lacks a universally accessible channel, it doesn’t undermine the quality of the product. If anyone was to sit down and watch it, they would readily realize how good it is. If TNA accomplishes their goal of finding a bigger platform than AXS TV, it would certainly be a turning point. The product is solid, and it also provides a multitude of captivating moments and storylines.”

About the positivity in the TNA locker room, Hardy commented, “The locker room environment is excellent, reflecting positivity and enthusiasm for the future. The fact that TNA managed to draw over 3,100 people to Bound for Glory is evidence that we’re making significant strides. The excitement is palpable, and everyone is eager to see the company grow.”
