In a surprising move, Samantha Irvin announced her exit from WWE just before the October 16th version of Monday Night RAW went on air. This caused quite a stir in the wrestling community.
Despite speculation, Irvin will not be transferring to AEW but has chosen to step away from WWE to concentrate on alternative projects. This news and her social media outburst subsequently generated a firestorm in WWE.
Kayla Becker, famously known as Kayla Braxton, recently graced the ‘Triggered Wrestling’ podcast, where she emphasized the complexities of a ring announcer’s role. She expressed her lack of interest in stepping into Irvin’s shoes.
Braxton expressed her opinion saying, “Do you know how much I hate ring announcing? Absolutely not. You understand what kind of job that is? Ring announcing is probably the least acknowledged job in wrestling history. It’s incredibly challenging. It’s heightened stress, and it roughens up your voice. So, no. I’m not interested.”
Previously, on June 22, Braxton declared her own departure from WWE after the June 28th SmackDown episode. Subsequently, on July 1, her profile on the WWE website was shifted to the alumni section.
