Member of the Dark Order, Stu Grayson has openly expressed his respect and admiration for Brodie Lee. He recently shared his view that fans merely caught a glimpse of the faction leader’s potential.
In December 2020, the wrestling world mourned the loss of Brodie Lee at the age of 41. He is survived by his wife Amanda and son Brodie Lee Jr.
Grayson, in a recent episode of the podcast “Straight Talk Wrestling”, shared his experiences of working with Lee. He contends,
“When you examine his career, he had a quite remarkable career despite not achieving as much as his distinct personality and exceptional skills could have allowed him to.”
Taking into consideration the wrestling aspect, Grayson also stated,
“When it comes to wrestling, I believe we just began to explore what he could have potentially done, and what Dark Order could have accomplished with him. He was only partially revealed to the audience as a man and wrestler.”
His most cherished memory of Lee was after the latter clinched the TNT Championship. Grayson reminisced,
“Brodie spent approximately 350 to 400 dollars on food. At the end of BTE, we planned on pooling money. However, he retorted, ‘Do you know how rich I am?’ and said, ‘You’re not paying for anything boys’.”
Tributes poured in from AEW and several other promotions, including WWE, following Lee’s passing.
Brodie Jr., who is currently contracted to AEW, will have his contract activated once he turns 18.
